Whertas, the Governor has received the Commands of Her Most Gracious Majesty the Queen, conveyed through the Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, approving

of and confirming Ordinance No. 1 of 1844, intituled An Ordinance for licensing Public Houses, and for regulating the Retail of fermented and spirituous liquors in the Colony of Hongkong," Notice is hereby given that the said Ordinance has been so approved of and confirmed.
